This week: I go vego.
For a month last year, I ate nothing but steamed vegies, fish and rice. For the first week, I just wanted to die; I was really struggling to stand / keep awake. Where was the protein yo? However, I felt so healthy and extremely alert in the following weeks! So, I decided to go and relive this health kick of mine this week by giving up coffee, meat and desserts. Monday was ok - I had a vegie stir...

Excellent service, decent food, decent prices (book on the D&D website for their £30pp 3 course + free glass of bellini offer). The place was nice but really lacking in atmosphere/mood.

Leong's Legend
We got there at 9pm on a saturday night and were told to wait outside - they closed the door on us. They gave the impression that they didnt care what you thought about their service, since they would have a stream of customers regardless - and they were right, the place was full.

Twelve Spices Thai & Lao Cuisine
Driving along St Johns Rd on a rainy night, a new restaurant caught our eye. So we chucked a u-turn and headed to Twelve Spices for dinner!
Twelve Spices is really oddly located. You know your local corner store / milk bar (do people still have those these days?)? Well, that’s what this really neat restaurant is located next to, random corner stores, Home Hardware and opposite heaps of...
